The 'Hind' Family 'Hind-A' has three flight crew and a cabin for eight troops. A single machine-gun is in the nose, while the wing stubs mount various stores such as rocket pods, air-dispensed mines or chemical weapons. 'Hind-D' is the most common variant, retaining the eight-man cabin but introducing a completely new gunship-type forward fuselage with four-barrelled 12.7-mm nose gun. Anti-tank missiles are AT-2 'Swatter'. 'Hind-F' is the latest variant, replacing the AT-2 missiles with AT-6 'Spiral' laser-guided weapons and the nose gun with a starboard-mounted two-barrelled cannon of 30-mm calibre.
